The law currently in effect is that the current federal law allows daylight savings time. It is set to begin on the second Sunday of March and is over on the first Sunday of November. This year the first Sunday in November is on November. 7. This gives Illinois citizens an additional hour's of rest. Daylight saving time for 2022 will begin on the 13th of March.
