Students of different classes in school, college, or university are evaluated via exams and their performance in these exams is assessed by their marks obtained in these exams. There is a variety of methods to determine a student's performance including percentage GPA, CGPA, letter grade etc. This site brings detailed descriptions of all these performance assessing assets as well as calculators & convertors to calculate and inter-convert these assets. Let's go through a brief detail of each of them.
GPA is short for 'Grade Point Average'. It is an average of your grade scored in different courses usually judged at a scale of 1.0 to 4.0. i.e your performance is rated out of 4.0. Different countries and different institutions of a country have different criteria for assessing GPA e.g in some institutions 90% of marks obtained in a source earn you a 4.0 GPA while some institutions set 100% as a 4.0 GPA barrier.
This site offers you GPA calculators to assess your GPA in high school, college, and in university. GPA to letter grade & percentage converter changes your GPA into a percentage & letter grade while letter grade to GPA converter directly changes your letter grades into GPA.
CGPA is a short form of 'Cumulative Grade Point Average'. It is the total measure of your performance throughout a degree or educational course. It is calculated by taking the average of your GPA for each semester or year. For example, if you have 3.0, 3.2, 3.4, 3.5, 3.0, 3.2, 3.2 & 3.4 GPA respectively in different courses then your Cumulative Grade Point Average will be: Sum of GPA in courses/number of courses
i.e 3.0 + 3.2 + 3.4 + 3.5 + 3.0 + 3.2 + 3.2 + 3.4 / 8 = 3.2375
Letter grades are also referred to as grade letters. The letter grade is an education evaluation system where students' performance is judged by letter grades. For example, a student obtaining 80% or above is given an A grade, while a percentage b/w 70 to 79 comes in B grade, a percentage between 60 to 69 is a C grade and so on.
On this site, you can use a converter which changes letter grades directly into GPA as well as in percentage. this converter judges GPA on a scale of 4.0 while you can set the percentage for your different letter grades accordingly. For example, an A letter grade is equivalent to 4.0 GPA with a percentage of 94-100.
It is an online converter offered, that directly converts GPA into letter grades ( A, B, C, D, F, etc.) as well as percentages. For example, a 3.0 GPA having 4.0 barrier at 100% will have a B letter grade with a percentage of 84 to 86.
If you have a low GPA in the previous semester but are willing to achieve a target grade then you will have to make extra efforts in the current & upcoming courses/semesters. The final grade calculator will help you estimate the grade that you must obtain in the coming exams to achieve your dream final grade.
For example, if your current grade is 75% (or C), the weight of the final exam is 50% & your required dream grade is 85% then your final grade calculations will be as under.
Final grade = ( required grade - (100% - w)×current grade ) / weight of final exams
= ( 85% - (100% - 50%)×75% ) / 50% = 95%
which means you have to maintain a percentage of 95 to take your final grade from 75 to 85%.
